Instructions on How to Register
Follow the steps below to register for the Ohio Mathematics Contest (OMC), also called the National Mathematics Contest (NMC) from the Korean American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA). The registration fee is $30 and non-refundable. Please use your credit card to pay. The deadline to register is March 31, 2023, and no late registrations are allowed.
Step-By-Step Registration Instructions
- Visit the KSEA NMSC website http://nmsc.ksea.org and click menu tab REGISTRATION OPEN NOW!! CLICK HERE’ on the top menu bar.
- Find the section of the page titled Registration Q & A and read it carefully.
- Click “Ohio Dayton” in the column with the heading Registration Link, as shown below:
- Fill in the personal information of the participating student that you are registering and click the Next button.
- Fill in the information of the participating student’s parent/guardian and click the Next button.
- Fill in your credit card information and click the Submit button.
- You will now see the ‘Thank-You’ page. You are done and successfully registered for the OMC!
Important Notes:
- Students must use their own email addresses because they will be used to record their test scores, even when they have siblings also taking the test.
- Last year students took the exams asynchronously from their homes at times they desired, using IDs and passwords that they have chosen when they registered, but this year all students nationwide will take the exams at the same time.
- On taking the exams online this year, unlike the case of the last year, we will NOT use IDs nor passwords. Students will join Zoom-rooms to take exams through Zoom connections. Then when they are waiting after entering Zoom-rooms, they will be instructed by KSREA HQ (1) on how to access the exam questions and (2) when to begin the exams like as we did in classrooms with on-site exams .
- This year, online exams as well as offline exams will be conducted nationwide within the same time frames specified by KSEA HQ.
