Judge blocks Trump’s latest attempt to restrict birthright citizenship. The federal judge pointed to the Supreme Court’s June decision striking down Trump’s earlier attempt to restrict birthright citizenship. This ruling comes in response to an August 6, 2026 directive from the Trump administration that sought to target “birth tourism” and exclude children born to parents labeled as “alien enemies” or foreign government employees from receiving automatic citizenship
